The Faculty of Medicine was established on 20 January 1967 and now is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The Faculty of Medicine applies a competency-based education system in educating its students to become a competent doctor. The study length in competency-based curriculum (KBK) is five years or ten semesters. The study period consists of seven semesters to achieve a Sarjana Kedokteran Degree (S. Ked.) and three semesters for Medical Profession program. The total credits to take are 160 credits (S. Ked.) and 40 credits (Profession). In this profession program, students will undergo clinical internship in one of UKRIDA’s partner hospitals. Today, UKRIDA Faculty of Medicine has graduated more than 1,200 doctors, who are working in the country and abroad.
A student of the Faculty of Medicine who has taken 160 credits with a passing grade will enter to profession program, in which the student will undertake a clinical internship at UKRIDA Faculty of Medicine hospital networks. Those hospitals are located in Jakarta, Depok, Karawang, Sukabumi, Bandung, Lampung, Semarang, Kudus, and Yogyakarta.
